Dr. George has been a teacher in CCSD since 2006. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/English from Morgan State University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Duke University, an Educational Specialist from Nova Southeastern University, and a Doctorate of Education from Liberty University. As an undergraduate, Dr. George worked as an intern for The Baltimore Sun and served as the Layout and Copy Editor for The Spokesman, her college newspaper, all while trying to maintain her athletic and academic scholarships. As the Journalism teacher here at Hillgrove, Dr. George has now merged her two academic passions (English and Journalism) here at Hillgrove with The Talon

Eve Stallings has been a student at Hillgrove for four years now. She has found a love for writing as she continued to write for the "The Talon", Hillgrove's school newspaper, she hopes to continue on this journey. While she finishes out her years at Hillgrove with a 4.0 other activities she takes part in the Hillgrove drama department.

Anthony is fun, fact oriented, and gets to the details quick. I am the oldest brother and I am in 12th grade. This is my third year at The Talon and I want to go more in with technology and what it can do. I am a part of 5 Clubs, DECA, FBLA, Cards For Compassion, HOPE, Sources Of Strength, and I have been doing Martial Arts 14 Ish years, I love smart home things, apple and all their products and most tech thing I have reported on or experienced myself. I run and Manitain this whole website, Built the whole website by hand. Spent hundreds of hours building and making sure it is perfect.

Sarenity Monroe has been a part of the Talon Newspaper for two years now, her first year being her sophomore year. She has found a love for writing for the opinions of others while learning more about her peers and life within Hillgrove. Outside of the Talon she is a athletic trainer for the school football team. Returning for his second year at The Talon, Conrad Paintin is junior at Hillgrove high school. He cheers for the JV sideline team and he part of the student government. In his free time Conrad enjoys watching Reba, spending time with friends, and the outdoors.

Eva was born in Austell, Georgia where she stayed up until 3rd grade when she moved to cobb county area thus, attending Dowell elementary. She played softball, basketball, volleyball but, never really found her spark. She now playing varsity flag football for her third year. She is also in musical theatre for her third year!

My name is Manuel Colorado this is my third year at HHS. I grew up mostly here in Georgia as far as I can remember. My favorite Mexican food has to be pozole which is like hominy soup that takes like 4 hours to make. My favorite Southern comfort food has to be biscuits and gravy and waffle house. This is my first year associated with the talon. I don’t really do any extra curriculars. I love to cook and write. Another thing I enjoy is a quiet working environment.

Kenzie Ford is a sophomore attending her second year at Hillgrove Highschool. For her first year of being on the Talon, she hopes it will continue to be something she does for the rest of her high school career. Rachel, a Sophomore at Hillgrove, loves writing and communications. This is her first year with the Talon, where she hopes to gain experience in public relations and learn more about student life. As a yearbook committee member, she brings that knowledge to Newspaper. Outside school, Rachel enjoys family, friends, reading, workouts, sage green, documentaries, crafts, history, and exploring her Cameroonian heritage.

Originally from Seattle, Washington, Malik Webster moved to Georgia at the start of his junior year. He joined journalism to sharpen his writing skills and to find his place in the Hillgrove community. Outside of class, Malik enjoys Olympic sleeping and he’s always up for trying new things. He loves a good movie and experiencing new things. He has big hopes for this year and hopes to make his last year his best!

Priscila Roque has been attending Hillgrove for two years. As a sophomore, this is her first year being a part of the Talon Newspaper and she enjoys it so much already. She loves to write and having conversations with peers. Striving to have a career in creative writing, she plans on being a part of The Talon until she graduates. She also is a part of Hillgrove's advanced treble chorus "Belle Voix", singing being one of her main hobbies.

This is Myles's second year attending Hillgrove. His infatuation for writing, the art of music, and disseminating information drives him to work hard on the articles featured on "The Talon" and he hopes to stay until senior year.
