Dr. George has been a teacher in CCSD since 2006. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/English from Morgan State University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Duke University, an Educational Specialist from Nova Southeastern University, and a Doctorate of Education from Liberty University. As an undergraduate, Dr. George worked as an intern for The Baltimore Sun and served as the Layout and Copy Editor for The Spokesman, her college newspaper, all while trying to maintain her athletic and academic scholarships. As the Journalism teacher here at Hillgrove, Dr. George has now merged her two academic passions (English and Journalism) here at Hillgrove with The Talon

Eve Stallings has been a student at Hillgrove for three years now. She has found a love for writing as she continued to write for the "The Talon", Hillgrove's school newspaper, she hopes to continue on this journey. While she finishes out her years at Hillgrove with a 4.0 other activities she takes part in the Hillgrove drama department.

Brittney Young is a Senior at Hillgrove High School. She spends most of her time studying, playing softball, and hanging out with her friends and family. Brittney has always been very academically driven and has many academic achievements. She hopes to one day attend college at UNC Chapel Hill.

Anthony is fun, fact oriented, and gets to the details quick. I am the oldest brother and I am in 11th grade. This is my second year at The Talon and I want to go more in with technology and what it can do. I am a part of 5 Clubs, DECA, FBLA, Cards For Compassion, HOPE, Sources Of Strength, and I have been doing Martial Arts 13 Ish years, I love smart home things, apple and all their products and most tech thing I have reported on or experienced myself.

My name is Anaya George and I am a senior at Hillgrove High school. I am on the competition, football, and basketball cheer teams here, as well as Stingrays Orange. This my second time taking Journalism and I am super excited!

I’m from California, and I’ve always loved staying busy. I played softball for 11 years, which was a big part of my life. I’ve had three different jobs, so I’ve gained a lot of experience. One of my biggest hobbies is writing, and I also love reading. Both reading and writing let me get my thoughts out.

Katie Ho a junior at Hillgrove High School. She went to Birney Elementary, Kemp Elementary, Lost Mountain Middle School, and is currently attending Hillgrove. She first got involved with The Talon in 10th grade, and plans on continuing through senior year. She used to play the piano, the viola, and was a swimmer. She's super outgoing and laid back. Her hobbies include sleeping, shopping, hanging out with friends, and playing with her dogs.

My name is Manuel Colorado this is my Second year at HHS. I grew up mostly here in Georgia as far as I can remember. My favorite Mexican food has to be pozole which is like hominy soup that takes like 4 hours to make. My favorite Southern comfort food has to be biscuits and gravy and waffle house. This is my first year associated with the talon. I don’t really do any extra curriculars. I love to cook and write. Another thing I enjoy is a quiet working environment.

I am a junior this year at Hillgrove. I am the Assistant/Student Director this year in chorus, and I love to play the piano/keys, and teaching music to all ages (including kids). I am new to The Talon this year, but I am super exited to expand my writing abilities and experience.

I'm Sarenity Monroe. I'm 15 years old and a sophomore in high school. This is my first year working with The Talon and I'm really enjoying it so far. Outside of this, I'm an athletic trainer for the football team, a part of Habitat for Humanity, I also plan on trying out for the cheer team and running track. In my free time I'm usually reading, shopping, or spending time with friends and/or family. I love fall and Halloween as well as meeting new people. I would consider myself friendly, personable, easy to talk to.

Eva was born in Austell, Georgia where she stayed up until 3rd grade when she moved to cobb county area thus, attending Dowell elementary. She played softball, basketball, volleyball but, never really found her spark. She now playing varsity flag football for her second year. She is also in musical theatre fo her second year!

My name is Alissa Alvarado, I am 15, my birthday is September 1st 2009. My favorite color is pink. I have two brothers and two dogs. I'm a sophomore that plays soccer for club and for Hillgrove. I like writing and I hate math. My favorite thing to do is to draw and to hang out with friends.

I'm a young student playing baseball, I played my freshman year and took a one year break off. I'm currently a junior here at Hillgrove and this is my second semester participating in journalism. Journalism is at some moments "fun" since it comes with its pros but it also comes with responsibilities that are crucial such as assigned work and the liberty to be out and about the classroom.
