In order to achieve these accomplishments, the life of a student in a marching band can be complicated. A member of the marching band Adiya Patel, explained what the most complicated part of the season was for her, “Probably commitment. I was struggling a lot in the beginning to get all my homework done, study for tests, and manage rehearsals all at once because I wasn’t really used to doing it, but once I got the hang of it and what I needed to do it got a lot easier." Marching band has complicated demands physically and musically and requires the skill of time management, making it a unique activity that requires commitment from all.
