Holiday Traditions are a key part of the holiday season, with festivities that make the season so memorable. The holidays are not just about gifts and decorations, they are about a sense of community and family. The festive season wouldn't be complete without cherished holiday traditions. The holiday season serves as a time for students to connect with their family and friends. Traditions during the holidays are unique to everyone, and at Hillgrove, many students have traditions of their own.
Hillgrove student Kessa Chatterjee explained what her favorite Holiday traditions with her family are, “wedecorate the tree together, roast chestnuts and make cookies.” While her favorite traditions involve indoor hands-on activities, student Ava Black described her adventurous tradition, “my favorite tradition is going and looking at all the Christmas lights because they are so beautiful." These students demonstrate how Holiday traditions can be a range of activities. Yet, both students feel the joy from the festive traditions of their own.
Sean V. at the Pearl Day Spa states, “Traditions, both the well-rooted and new, provide a sense of continuity, connecting us to our past, present, and future. They help build a shared understanding of who we are as individuals and as a community.” Every tradition, special in its own way, can strengthen bonds, and build memories. For students at Hillgrove, and all over the globe, traditions help create a sense of belonging during the holidays. These traditions, new or old, can remind everyone of the meaningful memories that make the festive season so cherishable.
Holiday traditions play an important role in creating connections and joy during the holiday season. People celebrate with a range of traditions, creating a uniqueness to everyone's circle. Here at Hillgrove, we have a mix of traditions, all with their own unique ways of making the holiday season something to remember.
