Infinity Castle: Demon Slayer movie By: Kaylani Clark 

On September 12, 2025, the new Infinity Castle movie brought tons of Demon Slayer fans together. The movie was a huge success, earning over $ 648 million globally. The movie has also been placed in the category “Best Anime of the Year”. With all this success, the movie has also gained global recognition on social media. Where fans make edits and share their opinions about the movie. The New Hampshire says that “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is an action-packed joy ride told through breathtaking animation and dialogue that will leave you crying throughout the whole way.” The movie is about all the main characters and demons fighting, with this came some unexpected deaths and incredible backstories. The New Hampshire also says that “it does an amazing job of keeping the audience enthralled in its magnificent fight scenes, as well as its gut-wrenching backstory flashbacks.”  What also brought fans into an uproar was the animation itself. The animation was crisp, and the CGI was done very well, with the fact that The New Hampshire says, “The vibrant colors bring out poster-worthy frames in almost every scene of this film, giving it the feel of a true piece of artwork worthy of more than 1000 words. To go along with this, the fight choreography is absolutely remarkable. This movie has set a new standard of what an anime film should look like and live up to.” The movie is astounding and has brought the anime community together for one amazing film, including Hillgrove High School.  

At Hillgrove High School, we have a diverse group of students who watch anime. The demon slayer movie is one thing that was talked about a lot in this diverse group. According to Hillgrove Junior Jenifer Horas, she says, “Overall, I think it was really good because the quality topped the entire series, and I really liked it because it didn’t jam everything in one movie but separated everything into other movies.” The movie is going to be split up into 3 movies, and this movie was only part one, and there's more to come. The fight scenes in the movie are what really gravitated the fans. Highgrove High School senior Noel Kellman says, “The fights exceeded. I started crying; that’s how good they were. But the movie in general was way too long.” Even though the movie was 2 hours long, it builds incredible tension for the next movie. Hillgrove Senior Makayla Evans says that “I feel like this movie builds a lot of tension because it was all the main characters fighting and not side characters fighting the main. So, you didn’t know who was going to live or die.” Yes, In the movie, there were tons of deaths and partings that fans had to deal with. Along with that came the interesting backstories. Junior Jenifer Horas says, “ Zentius' backstory, because he tries to be a better person, not for himself but for his master, and I feel like he had great personal growth. I think his past was sad.” Another sad backstory was Akasa, where he had a memory of his fiancée. Jenifer also adds, "When Akasa remembered his future fiancées because she was killed and poisoned by others. When she appeared in his vision, it was really sad because she gave up her heaven to be in hell with him.” Akasa was the backstory that fans feel was the worst in the whole anime.  

The Demon Slayer movie was able to bring fans together. These fans are able to talk about the masterpiece and can resonate with the show. Demon Slayer is not only about Demons, but also about life's difficulties and perseverance through hard times.
